She had been given only water to drink, but it had seemed to her water such as might have gushed forth from secret woodland springs in classic groves or might in remote days have been dipped by kilted herdsmen from rushing mountain streams. -Prize of Gor.

One interpretation is that the narrator (being originally from Earth) thought in those terms (or imagined an Earth analogy), which has been unlike the terminology up to this point in the series (Prize being book 27).

Zinc salve helps against that

I was more thinking of the tarn ticks, suppose one starts nibbling a specific male part
She smiled. "I have grown fond of the smell of bosk," said she. Kamchak smiled. He held his hand to the girl. "Ride with me, Aphris of Turia," said Kamchak of the Tuchuks. Image

Leather ones too (well it doesn't actually say 'pants' just 'leathers') but I'd agree - wearing a short skirt when flying could prove rather cold and draughty on the fundamentals :fleeflee:

Rather than a type of bottom, leathers actually may refer to what I mentioned earlier:

Wrapped in the scarlet leather of a tarnsman...
Assassin of Gor, Chapter 1

I'm imagining it more like a full outfit that wraps up, perhaps, like you might see in the Elder Scrolls games.

Every depiction of a Greek or Roman tunic / Kilt I've seen RL looks good.

Every SL one looks like a skirt with flappy bits,
or now with mesh
a Skirt that stretches weirdly when I move with or without flappy bits
Or cartoonish

In the end I had someone make me an outfit cause I couldn't find anything I liked

Gotta say- Iroas is pretty much the gold standard these days for this type of style. Sure, everyone's wearing it, but yegods- there's a reason, this outfit looks better than anything I've seen in this style. Dude does damned good work.
