THEME OF CLEARCHUS WOODS

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Clearchus Woods is a hidden outlaw village in that it consists of raiders, bandits and brigands and their women. They do not produce their own goods or wares, bar slave-girls and trade only their spoils. They do not adhere to merchant laws or other standardizations across Gor originating from the Sardar Fairs. But while the activity of raiding and thievery seems simple, there is a lot that needs to be considered and organized to keep the war machine efficient and always charging forward. It is for this reason that hierarchy and organization have become an important part of live in the infamous outlaw village, even more so complex and political has become life with the arrival of the Kur and their agents.

The Ubar rules as a hereditary prince, descendant of the bloodline that claims ownership of the forest and surrounding territories. The Outlaw Captains are elected by the village, for their strength, authority and success at organizing raiding parties. The Kur Agent Leader makes sure the will of the Kur is followed throughout the village.

This is a Gorean roleplay sim with a focus on conflict storylines, IC/OOC separation and RP etiquette. This is NOT the typical Gorean roleplay sim focused on happy peaceful family RP. Expect life in Clearchus Woods to be harsh. Visitors should NOT expect to be protected, not even most locals enjoy any rights or legal protection. Come well armed or well guarded, and have a plausible reason to be in an outlaw forest!

Expect lots of politics, intrigue and cunning within the customs, hierarchy and punitive justice system that is meant to keep some semblance of order in this haunt of outlaws.

Inspired by the last books of Gor that I'm currently reading, about these high born women of Ar who shared some good life with Talena and happily betrayed their home stone, and because a FW is definitely the role with which I'm the most comfortable, I made a new character for Clearchus, an Arian woman of high caste who had been an active part of a conspiracy consisting of her family and allies and led against the ubarate.... Betrayed by a suitor she demeaned, she got arrested and sentenced to death (impalement). Being found potentially useful by some kur authorities, she had been rescued to work now in their intrigues and serve their interests.

So, I'm now recruiting kur agents: Ambitious and greedy people with no many scruples (honor is optional), outlawed in their city (or not), men or women. Kurii are generous with their agents, but be aware, my char is the one to whom they promised she would be the ubara of all Gor (sorry Anarch, but don't worry, my char will accept you stay ubar of Clearchus, though!), so, you can't have that reward for your good services.........
People who are willing to experience a dangerous environment, the harsh (and non prude) Gor are welcome! (+ cozy housing, because even villains enjoy a bit of comfort)

Also, slaves are welcome... Fighting male slaves (for arena combats, we accept your war captives), and slave girls (sandal slaves for FW or pleasure ones who could spy around as well....)

Collaborative RP, everyone is welcome to share ideas for storylines, plots and intrigues.

Can slaves NPC an owner without the ridiculous OOC time limits to *find* an owner?

Yup, they can.

I think our sim rules, which you can pick up in the skybox cover all this.

We've added something new to the build, to bring us back to something similar of the good old Treve - Minus days:

➥ *NEW* VILLAGE:
There is now a shady little Low Caste village added to the RP and raiders entrance of the sim. This small village on the edge of the Northern Forests is under the protection of the outlaws of Clearchus Woods for which they pay taxes to the Ubarate of Clearchus. This village is not ran by outlaws, and thus some goreans might have more of a reason to visit it rather than the outlaw camp and forests itself. (The villagers are not outlaws and follow the gorean caste system).

Background: The village at one point was conquered by the men of Clearchus Woods and whichever men and women that were allowed to remain alive and free were forced to pay taxes to the Ubarate of Clearchus. As long as these taxes are paid the village enjoys protection by and from the nearby outlaw camp. Their Home Stone is currently held by Clearchus. The original name of the village was banned from usage by the outlaws; however the villagers have recently been granted the right to choose a new name for their settlement... if they can agree on one.

While the village currently lies mostly abandoned, some few remained honorable and brave enough to remain living there, or maybe some have their own secretive reasons to remain in a village laying in the shadow of Clearchus.

The villagers are southern goreans with a Caste, they are not outlaws, unlike the men and women living in the woods nearby.
