Pancake, yes, there really is such a group. 2 of them that I'm aware of. Perhaps not that name specifically because I'm on my meds and tired and up way too late for my own good. But yes, they do exist. I dont know how successful they are with creating epic rape time, but well, yah, they are there, and gor specific.

I picture the scenes as being more cartoonish also.

I get an adrenaline rush from raiding. Now, I am not so sure I would get the same rush without myself being the raider because I have raided so much the past few months that maybe the thrill of being an innocent by-stander is gone.. but before when I was a free-woman in a BTB sim and never wielded a GM weapon in my life.. it was the thrill of the unknown.. the sounds of sword clashing.. and hiding.. and the possibility of capture.. I have been very lucky to have some amazing RPs after captures on Lil... both which were non-sexual btw.

Anyways... if you really dislike being disrupted in RP.. then I would try to find a meterless or meter-optional sims. I know some of the more popular sims are going this route. I personally would find just sitting around RPing all day without a possibility of a raid.. boring.. but I am an adrenaline junkie and a gamer. I grew up with 4 brothers who are gamers so it's in my blood... but I also love to RP when I am in the mood for it.

I think that the pew-pewers get from Gor on top of shooting game is sex? and slaves? Not many combat games have those. Also, some combat games are not group oriented and you get that here either by group chat or vent. Honestly.. I find raiding to be quite addictive and it does take some sort of skill. Anyways I don't really get the same adrenaline rush playing other shooter games. I am personally more fond of RPG games. As for it adds nothing.. I am not so sure.. sometimes captive RPs turn into storylines and that can be interesting. But now.. I rarely take caps because I am not really into it. I wouldn't say pew pew is RP killer because I am getting more RP now than I have in BTB sims.. just different kind of RP.

I really do not have a problem finding role play that is not interrupted by raiding or fighting. I am just interested what the attraction of all the raiding and fighting is for the people who play the game that way. And don't get me wrong - there is nothing wrong with the way you play - it is a preference, nothing more.

What does become more and more clear to me is that different groups simply play a different game. The heavy pew pew crew is there for the raiding, fighting, for the metered combat. They take some rp with it when it suits them and when they feel like it. The crowd who is there for the role play as their number 1 interest finds their enjoyment mainly in role playing. They take the metered combat here and there when it makes sense or to settle a fight that way. Just two very different approaches. When those two groups try to play together - there is bound to be conflict of one kind or another. I always believed that as long as people stick to sim rules - there should be no problems in playing together - but I believe now it might be a bit more difficult than that. Maybe sticking with the people who like the same playing style is the way to go.

Also - I have nothing against capture role play, rape role play, any kind of sexual role play. That is as gorean as it gets. I am with Tamar on that. I usually wish gor would be a bit dirtier and raunchier - and not so chaste and tame. I just think it is boring when it is repetitive and boring. You know....person gets captured, raping or sexing commences...person gets traded.....or escpaes.....then a few days later...same person gets captured again and all begins anew.

I think you sum it up perfectly... and to be honest.. a lot of people in GE bemoan the same fact.. that it's becoming less and less Gorean to the point it doesn't feel like it's Gor anymore. Every sides has its problems. I rarely take caps anymore because I am not in favor of the whole cap-rape/collar/torture scenes that most captive RPs turn into. Or maybe it's me that hasn't been feeling inspired as some of my friends have pointed out when I speak of these feelings.. Anyways that's a totally different topic.

I also love BTB sims because I DO feel like I am in Gor.. I love the daily life RP without the interruption of raid/rescues. Try to have an intense scene with your RP partner which gets interrupted every 45 minutes by a raid.. it's a mood killer for sure. I love sitting and drinking tea at the inn/tavern with others and seeing where the scene takes us. I love it when people have a very good knowledge of Gor and use it in their RPs... I love beautiful cities that are breathtaking to be immersed in which is lacking in most GE sims.. however I also love to pew.. so I switch back and forth in characters. When I am on my BTB character.. she is dressed like a proper FW to a tee and act like one most of the time.. so like you said.. as long as the person plays by the sims rules.. it shouldn't matter.

And I am also for the grittier, dramatic, and harsher side of Gor.. and if someone wants to explore that sexual side.. go for it.

And could this topic have gotten any more derailed than it has. :D

I like gangbangs. What's wrong with gangbangs?

Have you been personally gangbanged so much that you're all like, "Damn, being gang raped by a bunch of men with four sausages in my crevices is getting SOOOOO BORING. I need some REAL EXCITEMENT NOW. Maybe involving a squirrel and a gerbil."

I don't get how gangbangs can get boring.

Gangbangs I've been involved in: 0

Sorry, what was the thread topic about? You've all lost me at gangbangs.

Keep counting . If 1 or 2 or 3 fingers fit or a whole fist .. Well then two dicks fits as well. So yes four or five ..

You want to get gang banged, then do not withdraw if the pleasure turns into pain as the gang banging men do not care about you, its about their lust and you arr then nothing but the object to their lust. Use your fantasy :P

You is general not specific.
