Rango

Postby Ceri the Urt » Mon Jul 25, 2011 9:58 am

We watched Rango on Video last night.
I admit...I am SO disappointed, I really expected so much more from this movie and it fell flat on it's nose. Oh Johnny! How could you!

The animation was really well done, but thats about all I can compliment.
The storyline was weak.
The characters were eh....
The humor was greatly lacking.

The biggest thing I hated was they DIDN'T have ANY of "The Making Of" options. Usually with a DvD you can see how they made the movie, out takes and bloopers, etc. I feel like I got ripped off. Almost all of the commercials for this movie had those scenes of Johnny actually playing the part as a human of the lizard walking through the events that happen in the movie. I thought those were hysterical...and you would think with such an interesting way to write a movie they would have added it...but nope...nothing...I was left wanting more and so disappointed.

Really? See as a movie geek I loved all the references to old movies sprinkled throughout. The gf and I were geeking out..."Oh! That's a reference to Once upon a Time in the West!" Did they just use a joke from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly!"

There was even a Star Wars quote thrown in!
