Hiring two killers for one mark

If i hire two killers for one mark is it necessary to inform both or can they act independent without knowing from each other?

Why would you spend coin in hiring two assassins for one mark? Just asking...It's not really that cheap a service.
IMHO, it would make more sense to hire a second assassin if the first one didn't accomplish.

I think that hiring two killers at once would be conterproductive. It's possible that one or the other end up complicating things for their own caste, unadvertedly.

If the two assassins find out about each other, I think they would be insulted. It kind of seems like you are not confident in their abilities. But there maybe a quote to prove me wrong.

You can hire like a thousand killers if you want to be sure the mark doesn't breath long ... However there are several things to consider.

1. Do you have really the gold ?
2. Would you really want to make the risk of informing that many of your wish to see someone else dead ?

You can tell, however a killer doesn't really care much about why or how you want it to happen. He is interested in the gold you pay. However if you are agreeing to pay when the killer did his mark, you might have a issue if the other killer learns that he wasn't the only one on the mark. He might not be as pleased and making a killer angry might not be the best way to go about it. But it could be amazing roleplay.

Just be sure that even in roleplay you have 'three dimensional killers' with mistakes, flaws and perhaps unpleasentries you didn't count on.

Good luck with it ...

Once coin is taken both would try to kill the mark.

If one got there first then he got the kill. If they come to meet, then they could likely fight each other to the death getting the mark.

On an OOC level, I would be pissed if I were one of these assassins and I didn't know.

My question is, your profile says scarlet...since when do scarlets of vonda hire assassins? Portus gave up his caste so that he could hire someone to kill Duo (I don't think anyone was stupid enough to take that mark). There seems to be a general theme that the red caste and the black hate each other, and that the red take matters into their own hands...so is it legit that you're hiring a BC at all?

I think they would not, no proof in the bools. Garian gave me a quote from the books where 22 assassines had been hired for one mark (I do not find it right now).

Conall: I need to protect all members of my family...and some idiots do not ask women to which familiy they do belong when they treat them bad or even try to collar them....

Emuna: I informed both IC already and they accept it. One is a master assassine and the other is young and perhaps not very experienced (and he is my IC son! This is the answer of Crow's question about the "risk"- I hired my own son to protect me.)

I do not know exactly to which caste the mark belongs..perhaps he is an outlaw. That is a job for a killer not for the red caste.

And yes, i have enough gold - i was ubar twice and regent and admin once...and no one robbed me since these days...

I gotcha. It was just that not much information was given in the first post.
Sounds interesting. Have fun.

Meh. Now I am curious. In the quote provided about the 22 going after one person, was the person a bad ass and it would take that many to get them?

What you do and whom you hire is of course entirely up to you. The point I tried to make still stands. Your argument as to hire a killer that is your son, makes me wonder about a lot of things. And without trying to sound judgmental but I doubt a Scarlet as yourself would shame himself to keep his son that dishonours his caste by becoming a killer would be wishful in your presence as the otherway around.

But again I am very sure there are a lot of things to consider and to play out in SL Gor. So I wish you lots of enjoyment with the roleplay story.

I see your point. But to find my lost son was a roleplay of eleven months now. His mother ran away from me and gave him away and i did not find out to whom... then she became slave again in Tem wood and Veminium, but i could not force her owners to tell me where my sons are...

Esalinus -Certificate of Free Birth
Attending Physician-Busybee Ashbourne
It is so recorded on this 12th day of April, in the year of the Priest-Kings 2009, that a child named Amin Breen Uriza was born to Kristiana Breen, a Citizen of Esalinus and Yuroki Uriza, a Citizen of Esalinus.

He was given to the black caste, I did not know that. Finally i found him at the docks of Vonda by chance...The black caste is his familly now. But i hired him to protect him.
