How do you hire one anyway?

How do you hire one anyway?

Postby FeorieFrimon » Mon Feb 01, 2010 2:10 pm

Is there a creepy tavern somewhere on some remote sim that you find members of the Black Caste?

And if so, how do you approach them?

For some reason, "Hey, can I pay you to kill this guy for me?" just seems wrong...

Its probably best that I don't know the answer to that. *makes shifty eyes back and forth*

Seriously the only time I heard of it being done, it was all set up in IM first.

:yeahthat:  I could probably find one if I really wanted to. I would guess you would try finding out where they're likely to be. Or go up to one walking through your city...And pray that you aren't his mark. Hahah.

And lets say that you did find a way to hire one....
Is there a special group that...sort of...pre-screens them for you? How do you know you aren't ending up with someone that has no idea what their doing? Or will tell your intended target everything OOC?

Wow...so much to think about....

Basically you find one in every city , talk with that killer and just tell him you have some clean up job to do, or send a slave to him with a sealed note. and mumble somethign to the slave that you need a bodyguard. He can then give a message to others and then suddenly you get a message. If you had to go to a remote area ,that would be a bit obvious then what you had to do there , wouldn't it ?

For that aspect of it, I'd suggest going by references. I can tell you one thing, do NOT pay linden for a hit. I had this friend (no...really....) that paid linden thinking it was how it was done, and this was just a few months ago. So its still out there. Don't fall for it. I think every major city at least has an assassin lurking in the shadows, don't they? I know I've seen a few.

You can be right. I wanted to kill a black caste, and even without asking one contacted me. He even did not even asked money because the other fellow had disgraced the BC.
She smiled. "I have grown fond of the smell of bosk," said she. Kamchak smiled. He held his hand to the girl. "Ride with me, Aphris of Turia," said Kamchak of the Tuchuks. Image

I'm pretty sure you could approach any Black Caste you may happen across, safe in the knowledge that he ain't going to kill you if you offer him a contract. Play your part, be fearful, bold, respectful. However you wish to play it. The Client talks are a lengthy process, so don't expect to have rp like this:

Client: 'Tal Killer, I want you to kill the Coin of Salernum for crimes against fashion. I offer you 2 gold....'

Killer: 'Crimes against fashion you say? What does he look like?'

Client: 'Stupid hair, Hammer pants. Can't miss him'

Killer: 'Deal'

Think about the actualy roleplay that led you to the killers door. If done right, the Client talks can be the most rewarding roleplay you will ever have with the Black Caste. If he accepts your contract, you wont see him again, unless he comes back to you to confirm it is 'done'.

Good luck and enjoy.

Kylar. :ninja:
