WTF? Hercules is a gladiator, now? They really get their cultures mixed-up.

Gravity was my favourite film of the year. You felt like you were in space, the shots where the camera panned from outside into the helmet and into 1st person were unique.

But but but.... her hair! It didn't float in zero gravity! Unrealistic! :o :geek:

Or maybe it was just mesh hair.

Hunger Games - Catching Fire.

It was alright, but nothing to write home about. Every time I saw Sutherland I was wondering if he would make it to the third installation on account of how old he is looking these days. God he's a sinister character.........we need more of him.

Jennifer Lawrence? You would. You dirty bastard. Lenny Kravitz as a fashion designer? Didn't see that coming. Where the hell was he in the first movie?

If the third movie is anything like the third book, you may as well stop now because you already figured out how the story ends.

Pretty sure Mr. Kravitz was in the first movie too. Which I did watch (not in the theatre). Was more enjoyable than I expected, really. Donald Sutherland did what he usually does, these days. Play a cold bad-guy. Gets a bit old, but he does it well. I read somewhere that part 2 was actually better. So, when it is out on DVD, I'll probably watch it.

I meant that i didn't realise it was Kravitz. Sure, he was always there but I didn't make the connection.

Dredd was pretty cool.
47 Ronin was decent.

Here are some good ones I saw recently:

For U.S., you can watch the complete Ninja Scroll here: http://www.hulu.com/watch/574663

If you like Ninja Scroll, one of my favorites is this (I think full movie can be found on youtube also):

And some more 300 trailers!

This one looks like it could be cool, but am I the only one that thinks Channing Tatum can't deliver serious lines?

I just watched American Hustle, pretty much forced myself to watch it.

I don't get the 90% + rating this movie is getting, I usually have a general agreement with the ratings of web sites like rotting tomatoes and I do understand why I don't like or like something that the general public would.

But this is completely bogus to me. Actors perform well and the costumes... music... all well served in a silver plate but the main course, the plot and my investment for the characters was so lacking I can't get this movie at all. I would give it a 40%.

Yea. Thats one movie that struck me in the face. I couldn't be bothered. Normally, with these actors, I would be all over it - but it just sucked.

47 Ronin was depressing. Needlessly so. At the end of the original 300 you felt uplifted from the sacrifice. 47 Ronin just made you want to go stick your head in a cement mixer.

I had hoped the new 300 movie would be good - it had all the bare bones to be good - but it just felt like an excuse for a movie, as if they were playing it off to make it a trilogy. If I had gone in there just thinking it was a movie unto itself, it would have been fine, probably a great movie by that perspective. But connecting it to the ending of the last movie makes you think it will dive into the final scene of the original - but its a completely different landscape.

Loving House of Cards. Phenomenal.

I haven't seen 300, in all truth I might come across as a funny misogynist but when I saw a woman with a sword in the trailer I had an idea of the negative results that would cause.

My friends said they were surprised with the Captain America movie, considering how much work that super hero had to go through to become popular again is a given.

House of Cards is good but sometimes I feel like the protagonist holds too much smug for my taste. Certainly a show that needs a 100% attentin so I don't watch it as eagerly.

I did like Orange is the New Black considering Netflix but I am quite sure Kohan will eventually do the same crap he did with Weeds.
