I actually quite liked Yara in her first appearance! Looks like the sort of people the Iron Islands breed, but I missed her line about how her Husband (Ax) and her Suckling (Dagger) are waiting for her at home. I never really thought of Asha as being Balon's favourite - not by a long shot, so that scene played out very differently in my head, but still.

She could grow on me, big time!

His character really comes to life in episode 2. I think they were pretty spot on with all the casting for the Dragonstone group. I wonder though if they are going to include Eldric Storm.

Ok I saw Craster looking more like who they casted for Balon Greyjoy and vice versa. It was great to see the Ironborn.

Pel I have to agree with you.........Asha/Yara was meh! Did nothing for me.

The filler showing us Littlefinger with the whore? Waste of time!Talk about increasing someone's role! You see much more of him in later books but not in book 2 really.

Aria did not reveal who she was to Gendry for a long time.maybe even a whole book. That was real quick. I did not see Gendry as handsome. I saw him looking more like Robert Baratheon.

But I won't miss an episode!

Yeah i thought she revealed herself to Gendry who she was in Book three. But there is so much material to draw from that I am sure they need to mix scenes up between book two and three since they are limited to around 12 episodes per season.

I watched something on youtube I think from Comic Con featuring George, the main producers and some of the cast members. It seemed pretty apparent that he is pretty active with the writing and production side of the show. In fact one of the producers said he is writing the whole battle of blackwater section. So I would think a lot these appended sections, changes and maybe even casting has his okay.

I also think it makes sense to keep the major players appearances, like Baelish, more continuous in the TV series because I suspect the majority of the viewers will never read the books. It's sad but true. I mean what is the stat I read recently? Like only 40% of college grads read a book after graduation. Its Crazy!
