Favorite Obscure Movies

A place to list movies not so heard of but once you say them might be known by many.

Rad - I was big into frestyle BMX and can repeat the script as they say it.

Last Starfighter - coooooool computer graphics at the time...would love a remake.

Pump Up the Volume - Redemption reminded me of this great flick I loved.

Gleaming the Cube - another christian slater movie about skateboarding, he was a great skate punk.

Claok and Dagger - great flick about a boy into spy games during the Cold War.

Gotcha - another cold war flick starring Anthony Edwards

List yours.

Sie, you have quite the list there.

I loved cloak and dagger, a very cool movie.

Obscure? Here are a few of mine:

Regarding Henry (a lesser known Harrison Ford movie that for some reason really, really impressed on me the importance of being kind to people)
A Knight's Tale - Heath Ledger
Ever After (yeah, I know, it's a chick flick, but I love it!)
Bella
To Kill a Mockingbird - it's not obscure at all, but lesser known in this era because some people just don't believe old movies can be good ones
Neverending Story
We Were Soldiers

I don’t know if these are obscure, they are pretty much cult classics I guess, but they are some old favorites that I will watch over and over again and they certainly aren’t the latest Oscar buzz.

Excalibur (the old 1981 version) that had Patrick Steward in it.
Dazed and Confused
Red Dawn
Blade Runner
Grease AND Grease Two
Reality Bites

These here likely fit the “obscure” title a bit better.

Like Water For Chocolate.
Exotica (and most Atom Egoyan’s movies really)
Love! Valor! Compassion!
Snow Falling on Cedars

Blade Runner

Very good movie, "I've seen things, few would believe. Battleships on fire off the shoulder of Orion, I've seen C beams gisten in the dark 12 hours a day. All these, moments ... will be lost. Like tears in the rain, please don't cry ... time ... to die" Truely a classic

Asfor obscure movies

-Ultra Violet
-Equilibrium
-Dracula (with billa Lagouse not the remake by Coppola ... remake is shyte, an attempt to soft core erotic movies with no grasp of what Hellsing was like ... idiots)
-Spawn (Good movie, comic based ... don't know if many would know it)
-Interview with a vampire (very very good movie on what Lestat was like later in his existance, and how Louis turned ... I love Ann Rice vampire novels ... yes, go on ... dare say it, I've heard it before. I'm too femenin for my own good  )
-Hackers (the original, not the sequel, dare call me a geek, you'd be right about it :ugeek: )

well, thats about it

There's nothing wrong with loving the Ann Rice vampire novels. They are quite good!

Indeed, they are quite good. Then again ... I'll read just about anything. If I run outof books, I'll go read the Tv-guide ... addicted ... very much

adding to this, just thought of another one

Johnny Memoroholic (sortof cyberpunk theme, if you like blade runner, you'll love this)
