I love that pregnant pause. Apparently to vet a VP requires more tax returns than to be president.

No no tax returns are required for either as a standard. If people want to see them than it is up to you and a calculated political choice as to if you think it is worth giving or not will people still elect you if you do not. There is no requirement that any tax returns be given to the public though.

Looks like the president is starting to make an international incident by his false accusations about hiding money in supposed tax shelters.

I'm confused. What exactly was false?

The assertion that Romney is hiding any money at all. It is clear from his tax return that he has disclosed that he is not hiding money in foreign accounts he is actually declaring that money and paying the taxes that are legally required for it.

The issue isn't whether he had the account or not but its contents. There is also the missing disclosure form related to these holdings. Sounds like hiding to me.

Its contents are not even a matter for the gvt only what was earned in those accounts.

Of course that is enough for you Mat. Luckily you don't speak for every voter and there still is nothing false that has been communicated about this issue.

yep that he is hiding anything he has disclosed and paid what is required concerning those accounts.
