I've actually started working on one, using the Hexographer program: http://www.hexographer.com/
I'm using a composite of a few maps out there to build mine. I think the one I've used the most is Marcus of Ar's unofficial map of Gor: http://www.goreanlibrary.com/gorean-lib ... -by-marcus
The map at this point will be quite large, 70 x 75 hexes so 5,250 total hexes, though I might remove some along the edges, in the mountains which for the purposes of the game type I'm working on will probably not be accessible. I've imagined a smaller scale proof of concept game and map I've tentatively named Cos: Civil War. Maybe a 20 x 25 map of just Cos and the surrounding sea.
I don't have any licensing rights and don't plan on pursuing them, so this is a strictly non-commercial pet project.
I'm most interested in developing and playing it in SL, with some level of scripting, at least for movement of pieces and for dice rolls. As one who knows practically no LSL, I'm interested in any help or feedback anyone can offer. IM me in SL at Marcus Coffeius (MarkyMarcus)
I'll post my map and a legend when I've completed it.
