The Slave Personality

Postby MammaKittie » Thu Oct 21, 2010 9:00 am

Recently, a friend and I were discussing the personalities of slaves. Nothing derogatory mind you. It was a real, legitimate conversation about the personalities of the women who typically chose the role of slave. Not in the traditional Type A or Type B sense, but more in the matter of what these women might lean towards doing as a profession in real life. It is our theory that women who choose the role of slaves are women who also choose the role of nurturer in real life. They choose professions such as nurse, teacher, homemaker, caregiver, etc. You don't typically find a slave girl who is a Vice President of Operations for some giant IT company. While women by their very nature are nurturers, it is again our theory that women in slave roles are women who move a little beyond what is intrinsically our nature.

So, to test that theory, I'm submitting a poll for you lovely ladies. I'm not asking male slaves only because this discussion was specifically about women. Feel free to elaborate on your answer if you like but keep in mind that the only thing you are sedating here is curiosity. Thank you!

Ha, this.

This is why, I think, I am very much into submissiveness to compensate at the end of the day. Though my type of leadership is feminine, it is still leadership and sometimes I get into a very high stamina, "aggresive" mode to get things done and I'm very much in control.

So, yes...nice to come back home and release that power. ;)

Wow. Never really thought of that.

I am not able to do that in RL. When I get home, I am the only parent and not in a relationship.

Points up to above postings.

I lead in so many areas of my life - personal and professional. It's such a relief to relinquish that part of me at the end of the day.

I did work in a care/nursing environment for a while...

But then I ended up heading a business analysis team in project...

And now I'm a student and writer.

Those are the main ones, anyway. But I've worked since I was 11 and done a *lot* of jobs.

I was just reminded that I have thought of that via PM.
